Chuck Studios celebrates Cachaça day
Dia Nacional da Cachaça or National Cachaça Day celebrates the official release of the beverage for manufacturing and sale way back on September 13th, 1661.
Produced exclusively in Brazil and aged in wooden barrels it has a unique flavor with plenty of rich combinations.
Using sugarcane as its main base it can be savoured on its own or within many cocktails – most famous of which is caipirinha.
As the third most consumed locally produced distillate in the world (second only to Vodka in Russia and Korean Soju), It’s estimated there is a local production capacity of approximately 1.2 billion litres per year – yet only 800 million litres are annually produced and less than 1% of that is exported globally.
So, here’s a toast and little film from our London office to raise a glass of Cachaça to celebrate the day!
