‘FEEL GOOD FOOD’ is a film that heroes humble cupboard fillers. Reminding people that adding just one of these items to a weekly shop and donating it to a food bank. This can make a big difference to someone’s life.
Produced in under three weeks during the COVID 19 lock-down. It was created by three filmmakers, Chris Gaffey, Paul Lilley and Ben Phillps. All looking to make a difference with the tools and skills at their disposal. In the spirit of community, many other collaborators donated their time and talents to the project freely. Including Johnny Vegas who brought his warmth and charisma to the voice over.
“At the start of this pandemic we saw a rush to the supermarkets, as people sought to stockpile tinned and non-perishable goods. With this film we hope to encourage people to think again and help those who can’t fill a shopping basket. Let alone a cupboard”. Quoted the trio behind the inspirational and uplifting film. Coming just a week after Marcus Rashford’s impassioned plea to the UK Prime Minister about continuing school meals throughout the summer, the film launched on the 26th June, and is available to food banks across the UK to encourage donations in their local area and to remind their community that ‘nothing tastes better than generosity’.
